When storing and organizing palletized drums and chemical totes of non-flammable chemicals, our ChemLoc™, FireLoc™, and SuperLoc™ lines are acceptable for use as pallet and tote storage buildings. The non-occupancy design of the U.S. Chemical Storage palletized storage buildings is ideal for storing or removing pallet loads. Full-face opening doors provide efficient forklift access to its contents and economical stationary or push back racking options offer storage flexibility. Choose from a wide range of optional accessories to increase production turnover and employee safety.
Pallet and Tote Storage Building Benefits
Increase pallet and tote storage capacity and allow forklift access on both sides of the building with large swing or roll-up style doors. The static grounding system and seismic bolt-down angles help protect your building from environmental factors. All U.S. Chemical Buildings come with a 15-year structural warranty, accessories and other add-ons such as doors, heating/cooling units, etc. come with a 1-year warranty. Additional warranties for these items are provided separately by their individual manufacturer (see our warranty guide for more information).
Types of Pallet & Tote Storage
Pallet and Tote Storage
Pallet and tote chemical storage buildings from U.S. Chemical Storage dramatically reduce the effort required to handle, manage, and store chemical drums and totes. These 100% customizable and compliant buildings feature static, push-back, or roller racking systems to maximize storage and manufacturing capacity while keeping chemical totes safely stored. All pallet and tote storage buildings can be manufactured with non-fire rated, 2-hour fire rated or 4-hour fire rated construction, and explosion-proof accessories.
For palletized drum storage, use our non-occupancy building style. These units provide full-face swing or roll-up style doors for convenient forklift access to each side of the container. It also prevents workers from entering a potentially dangerous environment. Units are available in one to four bays, with economical stational racking systems or optional convenient push-back racking for maximum storage capacity and flexibility. Store up to 48 palletized loads (192 drums); modular storage buildings are available for larger storage requirements.
IBC Tote Storage Solutions
Easily store, organize and easily access intermediate bulk containers (IBC) with IBC tote storage buildings and lockers from U.S. Chemical Storage. Built with exceptional strength, these buildings feature single or double tiers with multiple storage bays available and large secondary containment sump capacities for spillage from liquid totes. Wide door openings offer easy forklift access to totes, without the need for personnel to enter the building.
All IBC tote storage buildings can be customized for your specific chemical storage needs. Fire-rated doors feature fusible links to automatically close in case of a fire. For one-sided access, use our convenient roller or push-back system. It functions like a vending machine. After the front pallet or tote is removed, the next pallet or tote moves forward by gravity force to the front position via the inclined rack system. Other industrial racking options are also available.
Modular buildings are available for larger storage requirements.

Let U.S. Chemical Storage help you get organized with a full line of storage racks and shelves to keep your chemicals sorted.
DrumLoc™ is a safe and secure non fire-rated storage building and provides ideal protection for large quantities of hazardous chemicals. Each chemical drum storage building can be outfitted to hold from two to 56 drums and will accept a variety of accessories to make operations flow safely and smoothly.
1. How should my chemical storage building be designed?
Start by speaking with one of our experienced Technical Sales Engineers to learn about the needs of your application. They will want to know what type of chemicals you are storing? How much of it will you be storing? What proximity to other buildings, people, egress paths, or environmental features will it need to be? Do you require special spill containment? And from there they’ll ask any related questions that determine additional options; Material Handling – Climate Control – Ventilation – Occupancy – Lights – Sensors – Alarms – Door Styles – Eyewash Stations and other requirements are not uncommon. Answers to these questions will dictate the building’s fire rating construction as well as anything else you’ll need for proper code compliance.
2. What size building do I need?
Building size is determined by the amount of hazardous material you are planning to store, the need for occupancy or inspection around these materials, and must take into consideration the most efficient way of moving these materials into and out of your chemical storage building.
3. What is a sump or secondary containment in reference to chemical storage buildings?
The definition of a “sump” is a pit or reservoir providing containment for spilled liquids. U.S. Chemical Storage offers leak-proof spill containment sumps in each standard model. All our sumps are tested for leaks for a 24-hour period prior to finishing. The sump is then covered by a steel or fiberglass floor grating and can even be equipped with a resistant plastic sump liner to protect against corrosive chemical accidental spills. The size of the sump is dictated by code based on the volume of liquid being stored within the building.
