Since our founding, technology, regulations, and storage building safety have constantly evolved and improved and U.S. Chemical Storage has been committed to staying on the forefront of safety. As technology and regulations have changed over time, our passion for safely protecting your reputation and providing second-to-none service through custom-engineered buildings has only grown.<\/p>\n

What started as a privately-owned prefabricated metal building business in the early 80s, began making EPA-compliant chemical buildings by the end of the decade. Featuring a welded containment sump, these buildings were very simple compared today’s models.<\/p>\n

As building and fire codes evolved, so did our building designs. Development of 4-hour fire-rated wall designs, FM approval, and countless safety options increased chemical storage safety in industries worldwide.<\/p>\n

The name U.S. Chemical Storage was registered in 1993. Ten years later, the business moved from Boone to Wilkesboro.<\/p>\n

In 2013, U.S. Chemical Storage was purchased by Justrite Safety Group, a global leader in manufacturing safety equipment and custom-engineered industrial safety solutions with over a century of experience.<\/p>\n

In November of 2015 the Justrite Safety Group aquired by a private equity firm based out of Boston, MA. Justrite kept its headquarters in Des Plaines, IL and U.S. Chemical retained their home office and manufacturing in Wilkesboro, NC.<\/p>\n

Today, we design and build in the foothills of North Carolina with a team that includes responsive and knowledgeable sales associates, design engineers with experience with a wide variety of unique applications, and immensely talented tradespeople on the floor that make the buildings come to life. <\/p>\n
