Interior racking, fire suppression, ventilation are all included and pre-installed making it easy on the customer\" width=\"620\" height=\"604\" \/>\r\n\r\n<p>Located midway between Cleveland and Columbus, Iron Vault Distillery had an ethanol storage issue that needed a solution. This maker of small batch liquors, who described themselves as \u201csmall town distilled, with a small town style,\u201d wasn\u2019t so small anymore. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>They were growing quickly and they required more space for their ethanol storage. Working with an outside design\/build contractor, Iron Vault needed to expand into a code compliant flammable liquid storage building. They required a storage unit that could hold 4,500 gallons of palletized ethanol \u2013 a flammable liquid used in the making of alcoholic beverages.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<center><a href=\"https:\/\/uschemicalstorage.com\/staging\/ethanol-chemical-storage-buildings\/\">Expert Tips for Safe Ethanol Storage<\/a><\/center>\r\n\r\n<h2>Unique Material-Handling Features Make a Big Difference<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6045 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/uschemicalstorage.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/IronVaultDistillery_Pushbackracks_FireLoc2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Angled photo of a two-level US Chemical Storage ethanol storage building for a distillery showing the ventilation and manual roll up door\" width=\"620\" height=\"516\" \/>\r\n\r\n<p>It was determined that a U.S. Chemical Storage SuperLoc TM building with a 4-hour fire rating would provide the best protection for nearby buildings. After evaluating the way they were handling the flammable liquid on site \u2013 as palletized drums accessed by a forklift \u2013 a two-tiered model with a roll up door was specified. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>To have full access to all 16 pallets, the addition of push-back racking trays would allow full accessibility to pallets in the back to glide up to the front as inventory is used without the need for extra-long forks on the forklift.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<center><a href=\"https:\/\/uschemicalstorage.com\/staging\/use-chemical-storage-buildings-for-craft-breweries-and-microbreweries\/\">Protect Your Microbrewery with Chemical Storage Buildings<\/a><\/center>&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<h2>Big Safety Within a Small Footprint<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6045 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/uschemicalstorage.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Push-Back-Racks-Iron-Vault-Distillery-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Interior Shot of Push Back Tray Racking within Iron Vault Distillery code-compliant ethanol storage building built by US Chemical Storage\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" \/>\r\n\r\n<p>Restricting the size to a tight footprint was essential to the project. The building needed to fit within 275 square feet, and the final design filled an outside dimension area of 256 sqft. Safety features included a dry chemical fire suppression system and an alarm horn to sound when it deployed. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The building also included a C1-D1 explosion-proof mechanical vent with fire damper controlled by a general purpose vent switch to reduce the buildup of flammable vapors.
